I am in the process of completing my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award.

 

After each expedition we would be expected to create a presentation to our present to all our parents and leader. We also had the option to create a film of what we had done. I decided early on that I wanted to film our expedition. I edited all of the videos myself on Windows Movie Maker, this was because at the time I did not have any other editing software available to me.

 

As the videos were only meant to be used for entertaining our parents and friends I did not edit them professionally. I did however learn a lot about filming in the moment. I also think that the videos have shown how my editing has developed over the years.

 

For my Gold Duke of Edinburgh I went to the UK Film School. The UK film school is a 5 day course that teaches young people how to make professional films. I really enjoyed the course and met lots of new people. I helped in the production of the “Metal Mansions”.
